While we don't want to shackle you to some burdensome legal agreement, there are a few rules you need to follow to be a member of Politicopia and, particularly, to form and participate in Politicopia Groups.

You agree not to use this network/system to communicate anything that is knowingly false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, threatening, invasive of a person s privacy, profane, or which otherwise violates the law or reasonable community standards.

Remember: Every comment you post on any blog will be added to your personal blog as a primary post. And you cannot edit or delete a comment once it's entered. So you will own all your sins and graces, collected in one place to indicate how you act in public.

All tools and resources made available to the group, including discussion boards and networking tools, are to be used to facilitate political activism and improved governance. The group site is not an online store, a billboard, a dating service, or even a place to engage in other activist issues. You agree not to post any material or contact any member to sell or solicit any commercial product or service or to communicate about issues, ideas, or events unrelated to?political activism and improved governance.

We respect site?members' desire to communicate with each other through this site and generally will not meddle with information posted by members. However, any communication you post or transmit via the site will be treated as non-confidential and non-proprietary. Politicopia reserves the right to edit, refuse to post, remove, copy, publish, or distribute any material submitted or posted. For example, we may delete posted content that violates usage policies, or we may share or publish submitted content such as an anecdote from a report.

Intellectual property law has its problems, but that doesn't mean you can break it here. You agree not to post any copyrighted materials unless the copyright is owned, or properly licensed for use, by you (unless the use of such materials falls under  fair use provisions of copyright law). The use of Creative Commons licensing is encouraged throughout the network.

We do try to monitor the site and catch anything inappropriate, but it's nearly impossible for us to review everything. So you need to know that?Politicopia and the?Politicopia's administrators and volunteers are not responsible for the content of any postings or messages. You remain solely responsible for the content of your messages and postings and you agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Politicopia.com, its affiliates, its and their officers, directors, agents and employees against any claim based upon your use and/or transmission of your message(s) and posting(s). You should be aware that if you voluntarily disclose personal information (e.g., phone number, email address), that information can be collected and used by others and may result in unsolicited messages from other parties.

If you're younger than 18, you must be using a Politicopia group and this site with the informed consent of your parent or guardian.
